Military Aircraft

The Air Aces Of World War I (Collector's Scale) kit was released in 1966 and includes three different aircraft flown by three of the most famous aces to come out of the "Great War".  The first model is an Albatros D-III flown by the legendary German ace Werner Voss.  In one of his daring exploits, Voss downed an opposing enemy aircraft and to prove it, landed in "no-man's" land to recover the machine gun of his opponent.  The second model is a De Havilland D.H. 2 as flown by Lance Hawker of the Royal Flying Corps.  This D.H. 2 includes the personal aircraft markimgs of Major Hawker which he used to gain fame and earn the coveted Victoria Cross.  The third model is a Nieuport 17 as flown by the famous French aviator Georges Guynemer.  The remarkable piloting skill of Capitaine Georges Guynemer was shown to good effect when on a sortie as part of the Cigognes Group he destroyed two enemy aircraft in less than sixty seconds.  This package of three different World War I bi-plane fighter aircraft models includes the following features: 1) Authentic personal insignia and markings for each of the aces who flew these historic fighter aeroplanes; 2) Colorful combat markings; 3) Detailed engines; 4) Detailed pilot figures; 5)  Movable propellers and wheels and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
