The movie, Ambush Bay, is a World War II action drama set against the backdrop of the U.S. invasion of the Philippines.  The island of Siarago is the destination for a group of U.S. Marines who are trying to locate a Filipino women with vital information regarding the upcoming invasion of the Philippines.  After landing, the Marines fall into a deadly trap and as a result discover that the entire U.S. fleet is heading towards a hugh field of underwater Japanese mines.  Against all odds, the Marines have to find a way to let the U.S. fleet know about the minefield before it is to late.  Starring Mickey Rooney, Hugh O'brien and James Mitchum among others.  Widescreen and Full screen in color.  Released in 1966.  Runtime 110 minutes.
