The most inspiring feat of the 20th century was when United States astronauts made their first steps on the moon in July, 1969. This "re-issue" of a Revell model released originally in 1970 is an authentic, highly detailed kit that recaptures the exciting moment as it was captured in period photographs. The astronaut figure wears the I.L.C. Industries space suit and carries the backpack Portable Life Support System (P.L.S.S.). This model places the astronaut in the exact stance shown by official N.A.S.A. photographs. Features included in this kit include the following: 1) Model measures 10 "s in height; 2) Highly detailed scaled replica of the I.L.C. Industries space suit; 3) Gold-tinted face mask; 4) Portable Life Support System (P.L.S.S.); 5) Special Astronaut Camera; 6) Lunar module leg section with ladder; 7) Free-form moon surface base with historic inscription; 8) Official N.A.S.A. markings and 9) Complete assembly instructions. The box is in excellent condition. Never started and factory sealed.
