 The German Arado Ar 234, which made its first flight on June 15, 1943, was the worlds first operational jet bomber.  A total of 234 Ar 234's were manufactured between 1944 and 1945 in variants A, B, C, D, and P.  The Ar 234 B-2 was the bomber version of the B-1 and it could carry a bomb load of up to 2,205 pounds on external hard points.  The Ar 234 C-3 variant was designed to be a bomber and night-fighter.  The Ar 234 C-3 was powered by four BMW 003 A-1 engines as compared to two jet engines used by the B-2 version.  This older, out-of-production Arado Ar 234 B-2/C-2/C-3 "Blitz" scaled model includes the following: 1) Authentic markings for an Ar 234 B-2 of 9 Staffel, 111/KG76 Achmer, Germany, February 1945; 2) Clear plastic cockpit glass areas; 3) Component parts provided to build either a B-1 as flown in February 1945, or C-2 with Fi 103 Flying Bomb project or C-3 Production machine as flown in early 1945; 4) Detailed cockpit; 5) Detailed landing gear; 6) Molded in olive drab colored plastic; 7) Recessed panel lines; 8) Seated pilot figure; 9) Separately molded bombs; 10) Separately molded V-1 and 11) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
