Constantine And The Cross
Pre-Civil War
Diamond Entertainment

The movie, Constantine And The Cross, centers on a pivotal moment in the history of the Christian faith when the rulers of Rome do not believe in one God.  In 303 A.D. Constantine, who is a famous Roman General, becomes the Emperor of Gaul.  Before a battle with a Roman Army fielded by the non-Christians in Rome, Constantine has a revelation and assures his army of freedom of worship for all Christians.  In the end, Constantine truimphs over the Roman Army sent to destroy him and in so doing sets the stage for the adoption of the Christian faith throughout much of the western Roman Empire.  This foreign movie, which was not shot with the best quality film, gives an interesting perspective of this turning point in the exceptance of the Christian faith in the then western world.  Starring Cornel Wilde and Christine Kaufman among others.  Widescreen in color.  Released in 1960.  Runtime 120 minutes.
