The P-40 Warhawk, produced by the Curtiss Airplane Company, was one of the first monoplane fighters in the United States Army Air Corps inventory. The "E" variant incorporated improvements over previous versions and was deployed to front-line units just before America entered World War II. The improvements took the form of increased firepower and a higher performance Allison engine which allowed this aircraft to fly at higher speeds than any previous variant. This older P-40 E Warhawk scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic U.S. Army Air Corps combat & service markings; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Collector's three-view drawing; 4) Construct with wheels up or down; 5) Movable propeller; 6) Movable wheels; 7) Pilot figure; 8) Recessed panel lines; 9) Painting guide and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in excellent condition and is dated 1971. Never started and factory sealed.
