DeHaviland Mosquito Mk. IV #RL0075
DeHaviland Mosquito Mk. IV
Military Aircraft

The DeHavilland Mosquito, twin engined British fighter bomber was undoubtedly one of the most successful combat aircraft to come out of World War II.  It was flown on a number of high profile missions during World War II including the Amiens prison attack in February, 1944, as well as attacks on Gestapo headquarters in Copemhagen and the Hague.  The Mosquito which was largely constructed out of wood had the lowest loss rate of any bomber command aircraft during the war and its superb performance allowed it to be used in a number of roles including night fighter, fighter-bomber, reconnaissance, trainer and improvised airliner.  This older, out-of-production scaled model of the DeHaviland Mosquito Mk.IV is 15 1/4 inches when complete and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a DeHaviland Mosquito Mk. IV flown by the Royal Air Force during World War II; 2) Clear plastic bombardier nose and cockpit glass areas; 3)  Detailed and accurate laid-out cockpit; 4) Detailed engine; 5) Detailed landing gear; 6) Molded in gray plastic; 7) Recessed panel lines; 8) Removable engine cowling; 9) Painting guide and 10) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in mint condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
