 The concept of the Focke Wulf Fw 190 (Butcher Bird) began in 1938.  In June, 1941 the first combat ready Focke Wulfs began leaving the assembly plant and saw their first action during September of that same year.  The Fw 190 A-8 variant was built in the largest numbers with over 1,300 produced.  It was powered by a BMW 801 D-2 engine equipped with a methanol-water boost system and generated 1,700 h.p..  This Fw 190 kit which is part of AMT / ERTL's World War II Commemorative Series and features the following: 1) Multiple position landing gear; 2) Authentic decals for three different aircraft; 3) Detailed armament; 4) Over 50 parts and 5) Assembly instructions.  The box is in very good condition but does have some slight tears.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
