Full Metal Jacket #WBVHS0020
Full Metal Jacket
Cold War
Warner Home Video

The movie, Full Metal Jacket, is the critically acclaimed film that centers on the training of U.S. Marine recruits and their brutal introduction to combat in South Vietnam in the late 1960s.  In this two segment film, the first follows Joker, Pyle and others as they progress through the hell of U.S. Marine Corps boot-camp at the hands of the colorful, fouled mouth Gunnery Sergent Hartman.  The second segment follows those who made through basic training as they are shipped off to Hue, South Vietnam during the North Vietnamese Tet offensive in January, 1968.  Animal Mother, Joker, Rafterman and other fellow Marines face threats such as ambush, booby traps and Viet Cong snipers as they move through the city in order to take it back from the enemy.  Note: this copy of the movie is in very good condition but does have a yellowing VHS tape cover.  Starring Matthew Modine, Adam Baldwin and Lee Ermey among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1988.  Runtime 112 minutes.
