The movie, Jesse James, tells the story of the notorious gunman Jesse James and his brother Frank from their early days immediately following the Civil War as Missouri farm boys through their lifetime of robbing trains. After the death of thier mother, which took place as a result of train agent wanting to buy their farm for one dollar an acre, the James brothers vowed vengence and headed down a path of crime robbing banks and trains as a way of getting even. Mixing fact and fiction, this retelling of their legendary outlaw activities are marked by action-packed suspense, romance and richly drawn characters. The legendary Darryl F. Zanuck produced this classic film in color just prior to the outbreak of World War II and it is considered by many to be one of the best classic western films ever produced.
