The movie, King Kong (1933), is the original cut of this famous classic film.  The plot centers on a filmaker named Denham who is shooting a jungle movie on the remote Skull Island and while there his crew stumble upon a prehistoric world populated by dinosaurs and giant snakes.  The most magnificent of the unusual and exotic creatures is "King Kong", a fifty-foot gorilla.  Using gas bombs, Denham subdues the gorilla and brings him to New York City, where Kong escapes and goes on a rampage, destroying everthing in his path and kidnapping a beautiful young actress.  The fateful finale finds Kong atop the Empire State Building clutching the young actress in the palm of his enormous hand.  While carefully holding the girl, Kong swats at machine-gunning airplanes and eventually succombs to there attack.  This movie is an all-time classic film and has been rank 43rd on the American Film Institute's list of the Top-100 American movies.  Starring Fay Wray, Bruce Cabot and Robert Armstrong among others.    Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1933.  Runtime 104 minutes.
