Lost Command #CPDVD0010
Lost Command
Columbia Pictures

The movie, Lost Command is an action packed war-drama that centers on a Lieutenant Colonel Pierre Raspeguy, a hardheaded officer determined to become a hero at any cost.  After Lieutenant Colonel Raspeguy leads his defeated and humiliated French Army out of Indochina, he learns that he has been relieved of his command.  The Lieutenant Colonel gets another chance to prove himself, however, when he meets and falls in love with a French Countess, who "pulls some strings" to find him a new position in Algeria.  Once in Algeria, Lieutenant Colonel Raspeguy persuades two old wartime buddies to join him in shaping up a ragtag special operations unit.  Eventually, he is forced to take-on an Arab terrorist who is attempting to oust the French from Algeria.  Determined to achieve victory at any cost, Lieutenant Colonel Raspeguy launches a bloody battle against the terrorist rebel forces.  Through strong acting performances and "technical merit", "Lost Command" vividly shows "man's inhumanity to man" all for the sake of personal glory.  Starring Anthony Quine, Alain Delon and George Segal among others.  Widescreen in color.  Released in 1966.  Runtime 130 minutes.
