 The TV show, Lost In Space was originally conceived as "The Swiss Family Robinson In Space" and aired from 1965 to 1968.  This TV series, first filmed in black & white and later in color, has become a true Sci-Fi classic with an enormous following of devouted fans.  In Lost In Space: The Reluctant Stowaway (Episode # 1) The Robinson family along with their pilot Major Don West set out on a daring mission to colonize the stars in 1997 aboard the Jupiter II.  An enemy agent, the sinister Dr. Smith who has sabotaged the mission's robot, is unwillingly trapped aboard the ship when it takes off.  As the Jupiter II veers off-course, Dr. Smith releases the crew form a state of suspended animation in order for them to save him from certain destruction in a meteor shower.  Having navigateed through this danger, Professor Robinson must travel outside the ship in deep space to make needed repairs when his tether is accidentally cut and he is stranded in space.  The only question is whether or not Professor Robinson and Maureen Robinson will be rescued.  Starring Guy Williams, June Lockhart and Angela Cartwright among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1965.  Runtime 55 minutes.
