Military Vehicles Tanks Guns Troops

The Sd.Kfz. 7/1 motorized 8 ton half-track was widely used by the armed forces of Nazi Germany during World War II.  Once World War II began, many variants of this half track were created including models incorporating various caliber anti-aircraft guns.  In 1939, the German Luftwaffe ordered 100 examples of the 8 ton chassis armed with the 2 cm Flak 38-Vierling anti-aircraft multiple cannon which were attached above the rear chassis on a central pivot mount.  This basic combination of heavy duty halftrack and multiple anti-aircraft cannons was subsequently upgraded from 1942 onwards to include an armored radiator shield and crew cab to protect the vehicle from shell fragments and small arms fire.  Approximately 750 units of all variants were produced by the end of 1944.  This highly detailed Sd. Kfz. 7/1 Early 2cm Flakvierling 38 Auf Selbstfahrlafette and trailer model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a half-track operated by the German Luftwaffe during World War II; 2) Brass wire; 3) Braided cord; 4) Individual track links; 5) Optional position windshield; 6) Photo-etched parts; 7) Separate hood panels; 8) Separate tools and 20 mm ammo boxes; 9) Separate top; 10) Vinyl tires; 11) Painting guide and Illustrated painting instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
