The movie, "The Great Race" centers on a turn-of-the-century 20,000 mile automobile race from New York City to Paris, France by way of Alaska.  Along the way in this hilarious comedy, the contestants must deal with a bare knuckled barroom brawl, rampaging Indians, one sinking iceberg, 2,357 pies in the face and a ton of laughs in one of the best comedies ever made.  The characters include the evil Professor Fate and his thimbel-brained henchman Max who are villains so loathsome they snarl at cute puppies and will do anything to win the race.  Dr. FAte's pure hearted nemesis, is an always white-clad race driver named the Great Leslie.  Rounding out this cast is a suffragette named Maggie Dubois who is covering the race for the New York Sentinel.  This merrily madcap movie provides many laughs and great sound effects that are sure to please any viewer of this film.  Starring Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood among others.  Full screen in color.  Released in 1965.  Runtime 160 minutes.
