The movie, "The McConnell Story" (Archive Collection) recounts the true-life story of United States Air Force Captain Joseph McConnell and his devoted wife Butch. During the Korean War, Captain McConnell became America's first triple jet ace by downing 16 enemy aircraft many over the deadly corridor called MiG Alley. As the alarm sounds Captain McConnell's squad of North American F-86 Sabre pilots scramble to get airborne in seconds in order to keep the deadly Chinese and North Korean MiG-15s away from helicopters and wounded infantrymen who are being evacuated to the rear for medical attention. After the Korean War '"The McConnell Story" (Archive Collection)' follows Captain McConnell as he braves the unknown as a test pilot at the beginning of the new jet era. Any aviation enthusiast will surely like "The McConnell Story" as it includes many superb aerial sequences that will sweep the viewer up in a great hero's lively life.
