Zeppelin (Archive Collection)

The movie, Zeppelin (Archive Collection) centers on a British spy who is tasked with infiltrating a German zeppelin works during World War I.  The spy, Lt. Geoffrey Richter-Douglas, is a German-born Scot asked to undertake this dangerous mission.  In what seems like a stroke of good fortune, Richter-Douglas is invited aboard one of the giant behemoths as it makes a test flight.  Lt. Richter-Douglas' luck runs out, however, once the Zeppelin is airborne and he learns that the German commandant plans to make a daring raid over England.  This colossal silver airship looms out of the clouds over the English Channel and then is swallowed in the silent mist as it heads for England.  As the German Zeppelin, which is the most feared air weapon of World War I, heads over England Lt. Richter-Douglas knows that his knowledge of the Scottish country side will likely determine the success of the commandant's daring raid.  Note: this disc is expected to play only in DVD video "play only" devices and may not play back in other DVD devices including recorders and PC drives.  Starring Michael York, Elke Sommer and Rupert Davies among others.  Widescreen in color.  Released in 1971.  Runtime 102 minutes.
